MonaLisa Touch

MonaLisa Touch

While most women experience some changes in their vaginal health as they get older, many never seek  treatment to address them. With MonaLisa Touch®, patients can dramatically improve their vaginal health after a series of three quick, painless, and effective treatment sessions.

At Fort Worth Center for Pelvic Medicine, your health is our number one priority. If you’d like more information about the MonaLisa Touch® or any of the other services we offer at our practice, contact us today to schedule a consultation appointment.

What is the MonaLisa Touch®?

The changes that come with menopause can leave many women experiencing unpleasant symptoms, including vaginal dryness, itching, pain during intercourse, and urinary frequency, urgency, and incontinence. These changes aren’t just inconvenient — they can dramatically impact a woman’s quality of life, relationships, and overall happiness. With the MonaLisa Touch®, most patients can improve these problems with a series of three simple, easy, and effective non-invasive treatments.

At Fort Worth Center for Pelvic Medicine, the MonaLisa Touch® treatments are performed by Dr. Alan Johns. These physicians have years of experience helping patients achieve their best feminine health, and are expertly trained in the use of this laser technology.

How does it Work?

The MonaLisa Touch® uses a fractional CO₂ laser to treat vaginal tissues, triggering the body’s natural healing process and improving overall vaginal health.  This laser energy initiates fibroblast activity while stimulating the production of additional collagen in the vaginal tissues. Blood circulation to the area also increases, enriching the underlying tissues while encouraging cellular repair and regeneration. Over time, this healing response results in stronger, softer, more moist, and healthier vaginal tissues.

What can I Expect from Treatment?

No anesthesia is required for treatment of the internal vagina, a numbing cream is applied for treatment of the outside tissue — the MonaLisa Touch® is just that painless! Each session takes a quick five minutes to complete, and involves only minimal, if any, downtime and discomfort.  In order to achieve optimal results, patients must undergo three treatments administered six weeks apart. Once these treatment sessions are complete, a single treatment is required every 12 months to maintain the improvement.

Am I a Candidate for the MonaLisa Touch®?

If you’ve entered menopause naturally, as the result of cancer treatments, or because of hysterectomy, and have begun to experience declines in vaginal health, you may want to consider the benefits of MonaLisa Touch®. This treatment can help correct vaginal dryness, itching, and pain during intercourse without discomfort or long treatment times.

The MonaLisa Touch® has already helped countless women improve their vaginal health — why not you? Our team is dedicated to promoting feminine health and wellness in patients of all ages. Contact our Fort Worth, Texas office today to schedule a consultation appointment and take the first step towards a better you!
